Initially, Cunha received a three-match ban for violent conduct, ruling him out of Premier League fixtures against Everton, Southampton, and West Ham United. However, the Football Association (FA) imposed an additional one-match suspension and a £50,000 fine after charging him with improper conduct for his actions following the red card.
