Following the injury, González underwent surgery and began an extensive rehabilitation programme. By October 2024, he had progressed to gym-based strength training, with Wolves' head of medical services, Phil Hayward, stating:
"Enso's doing great. He's in the gym a lot now, beginning his strength phase."

By March 2025, reports suggested that González was close to rejoining the first-team squad. Journalist Christian Martin highlighted his progress, saying the winger was "almost ready" to return to training. (Source: Sport Witness)

Given the standard recovery timeline for ACL injuries, González is expected to be fit for selection in the 2025/26 season. The club is likely to manage his return cautiously to ensure long-term fitness and prevent recurrence.
