Albert Grønbaek - tendon issues
Southampton midfielder Albert Gronbaek (23) was ruled out of Southampton's 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace on Wednesday 2 April 2025 due to tendon issues, head coach Ivan Juric confirmed during a pre-match press conference. (Source: Saints Extra)
Speaking to the Daily Echo, Juric stated: "No, he had a problem with the tendons. For the medical staff, it is not enough to skip training, but he reports experiencing a lot of pain, and that is the situation."
Gronbaek, who has primarily served as a bench option since joining Southampton, is currently experiencing significant discomfort despite being cleared medically to train. The injury, while not severe enough to prevent participation in training sessions entirely, was deemed serious enough to rule him out of Wednesday’s Premier League fixture.
