Leicester City defender Harry Souttar (26) suffered a significant injury during his loan spell at Sheffield United. On 26 December 2024, in a match against Burnley, Souttar ruptured his Achilles tendon. This injury occurred during Sheffield United's 2-0 defeat to Burnley. ​(BBC)

Following the injury, Souttar returned to his parent club, Leicester City, for further assessment and treatment. Sheffield United manager Chris Wilder expressed his disappointment, stating, "He's been outstanding and is a great personality to work with, a great character. I'm devastated for him. He loved it here and he's absolutely gutted." ​(Source: News.com)

The rehabilitation process for a ruptured Achilles tendon typically spans between nine to twelve months. Consequently, Souttar is expected to be sidelined until late 2025.
