Nicolas Jackson - hamstring
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson (23) is currently recovering from a hamstring injury sustained in early February 2025. Initially, during the FA Cup tie against Brighton on 7 February, Jackson was deemed a late fitness test decision, but Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca decided against taking any risks with the player. At the time, the injury was thought to be minor. (Source: The Guardian)
However, after further assessments, the severity of the injury was found to be more significant than initially expected. On 13 February, Maresca confirmed during a press conference that Jackson would be sidelined for six to eight weeks, with his expected return now set for early April. The manager admitted that they had underestimated the extent of the hamstring issue. (Source: The Daily Telegraph)
By 7 March, Jackson had started light running but had not progressed ahead of his initial recovery timeline. Maresca confirmed that the striker would not be back until after the international break in March, keeping him on track for a return in April. (Source: Evening Standard)
